Make it a bazoomphy 10…

In case the tag line is too small for you to read it says “You’re at a 10.  We need you at about a 7.”  I won’t even bother to tell you about the website I found it on.

I don’t normally fire the sexism-misogyny-male-chauvinism bazooka.  But, hey, how else am I or you supposed to interpret this?  Even down to her being near the kitchen sink.

Reminds me of a lovely line by Karen Salmansohn in her book ‘Business Balls’… ‘You’re nobody until somebody hates you!’

So… When stuff like this crops up, I tell my clients not to react but to respond  by living, and living outrageously well…

So, gather up your magnificence, passion and courage, women. And live your bazoomphy 10 to at least 20.5…

That’ll really do it!

All my life men have been telling me:

    “you’re too noisy”
    “you’re too energetic”
    “you’re too aggressive”
    “you’re too dominant”

I haven’t had “you’re too beautiful” though we live in hope.

I am not too much of anything, just being myself in the world. Diminishing me doesn’t make more of anyone else so lately I don’t bother, though I do tone down the volume a bit sometimes to give other people’s ears a rest…..

Great stuff Sharon – I an all for passion but sometimes islands of calm are very welcome – sending love!

An absolute pleasure Zoe… you go girl!

Great!!! There is no such thing as too much enthusiasm. People who say that are trying to hold you back – or trying to hold themselves back.

I found this video parody that seems to be quite telling of the values in our society: http://youtu.be/jd4tugPM83c

Also very much agree that you are nobody until you have somebody hate you. If you are loud enough, passionate enough and doing enough to change things you will have enemies. So I say “Go out there and make some enemies!”. Not because enemies are good, but because they are a symptom of something else (your impact). Thanks for this post!
